The 2nd International Conference “Matter and Materials in/for Cultural Heritage” MATCONS2011 will be held in Craiova, Romania, from 24 to 28 August. The Conference is aimed at providing a platform for presentation and discussion on the capabilities of Chemistry, Physics, Engineering and Technology to answer specific conservation-restoration needs raised by the conservation-restoration community.
Roberto Padoan from the Nationaal Archief (National Archives of the Netherlands, The Hague) is invited to give a presentation on the application of the quantitative hyperspectral imaging technique in archives and libraries. Research on this topic is carried out at the Nationaal Archief in cooperation with the National University of Singapore and Art Innovation, using the SEPIA Quantitative Hyperspectral Imager.
