This year’s meeting of the American Institute of Conservation, the AIC 39th Annual Meeting, will take place in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, U.S.A.) from May 31 to June 3. Under conference motto is “Ethos Logos Pathos – Ethical Principles and Critical Thinking in Conservation” conservators and conservation scientist from all over the U.S. and from many other countries will present their latest research results and case studies and discuss current issues in the preservation and conservation of cultural heritage objects.
As in all recent years, Art Innovation will have a stand at the commercial exhibit that is part of the AIC meeting. At our stand, you can get hands-on experience with our products such as the ARTIST Multi-spectral camera system and the DIVA Mobile spectral camera. Our research engineer will be glad to discuss with you the technology and instrumentation you require for your application and to advice on the capabilities of our products.
In cooperation with the Nationaal Archief (National Archives of the Netherlands), Art Innovation has contributed a presentation to research poster session of the Annual Meeting. The poster presentation entitled “Order from chaos: Analyzing quantitative hyperspectral imaging data of historical documents” will discuss different methods to extract efficiently a huge amount of information contained in the measurement data provided by our SEPIA Quantitative hyperspectral imager.
